This past weekend was quite eventful, and very fun! On Saturday I spent all day with my sister, starting with brunch at Almond in the Flatiron District:
We walked around the neighborhood a bunch (the weather was PERFECT), and popped into Club Monaco’s flagship on Fifth Avenue:
I resisted buying a 179 dollar sweater (willpower!), and instead opted for buying a book from my summer reading list at their Strand outpost within the store.
Checked out Kate Spade too:
We stopped for a chocolatey treat along the way (more on that tomorrow), and grabbed dinner at Cafeteria – a Sex and the City location (woot woot!). It was where Charlotte and Anthony were eating when they ran into Stanford and his boyfriend Marcus….classic.
On Sunday, I was invited to a Macarons and Mimosas blogger brunch hosted by Courtney from the blog Color Me Courtney. It was so much fun to hang out outside (again, gorgeous weather), and get to meet so many other bloggers in person, while also catching up with a few girls I already knew. Courtney is just lovely and such a wonderful hostess – everything was absolutely adorable and a blogger’s girly dream come true. You can check out all the details on her blog, but here are a few shots I snapped:
Is that not the prettiest table set-up you’ve ever seen? Also So. Many. Macarons. I was in heaven! Thank you Courtney!
I wore my favorite Rebecca Taylor watercolor tank along with my trusty Madewell white jeans, a few gold and pink bangles, and my Madewell Holepunch Transport Tote that I’ve been using non-stop since I bought it:
Then on my walk back to the subway I couldn’t resist popping into the real Strand:
I got a hardcover copy of A Man in Full for 2 bucks! Even better than Amazon. I also got The Shining Girls, a book that had intrigued me when it first came out, which I then forgot about. It was in the Staff Picks section, which I find to be a very helpful part of the store.
All in all a perfect summer weekend! Now if only I had two more days to rest and recover before the week started…
